A Rainy Day

Today was such a gloomy and rainy day in Vegas. Lakes in UNLV parking lots were forming, water was rushing into the buildings and all you can see are students either running from the rain or stranded under roofs and can't get to class. I've never seen rain at UNLV like this before. 

Nothing sounds better than a nap when it's pouring outside. Falling asleep to the sound of raindrops is so calming to me. However, I have a lot of studying to do! I can't sleep just yet. I put together an old pencil box filled with colorful markers, highlighters and post-its. I don't know about you, maybe it's a girl thing, but doesn't it just make you want to take notes, highlight and put tabs on everything? 

It's also a good way to organize your calendar. I feel more organized now, and it's easier for me to keep track of my priorities. The more organized I am, the more successful I become. A good way to start off the semester I suppose.

Today was the first APHP/MSSP meeting. It was amazing to see so many familiar faces (and new ones too), and I can't wait for all the upcoming events. We had a BINGO icebreaker and I won third place! Even though all I got was candy, its yummy-ness and colorful-ness made my day so much brighter and better, despite the gloomy and long day I had.
